A Simple Space is anything but simple. You discover this as soon as the show starts. 

These are seven acrobatic performers, dressed in basic t-shirts, pants and shirts. You won't see any glitz or glamour on stage - this would be a distraction. The acrobats use each other, as well as the occasional audience member as props.

The troupe includes one percussionist, who is also an acrobat. Even though he uses his drum kit for most of the acts, his drumming skills shine when he uses his body to create a rich tapestry of percussion sounds. The audience is absorbed, open-mouthed and in disbelief.

In fact, much of the show leaves you stunned. Are these acrobats human? 

They make a human skipping rope that they jump over. They build human towers and then walk from head to head as though they were walking on the ground. They create a human roller coaster and then ride it.

Each act is engaging and displays unique, unexpected stunts.

These are weightless rag-dolls that defy gravity. There is no fear and no safety equipment. They dilute the intensely close-your-eyes, nerve-racking acts with humour and playfulness. These guys are having fun on stage and the crowd loves it.

Strength, speed and also grace are words that come to mind when you watch The Simple Space. 

The performance is raw. It is intimate. You develop a symbiotic relationship with each of the performers. You hear them breathe as though they are breathing into your ear. You react when they react. You smile when they do.

This is world-class physical theatre and is suitable for audiences of 6 plus.
