For those people who have four legged friends as part of their families and others who just love animals, the Top Dog Festival is a must see. The festival is a celebration of friendship, loyalty and love that we witness through short documentaries.
Last night, this festival was screening at the luscious botanical gardens. It was a real treat for man and dog alike. People were delighted to bring along their special doggy friend to the cinemas and it was heart-warming to see so much attention people give their pets. Some dogs came in prams, others in baskets and then others walked in using their own four legs. Surprisingly, the dogs were well behaved all night with a bark here and there but certainly no-one there were no fights or major accidents.
The sponsors for this show were Garnier whose representatives spoilt us with fabulous face and eye-masks as well as hair conditioner. The other sponsor for this night was Ziwipets, a New Zealand brand that were giving out fabulous chicken and New Zealand mussel treats for the pets.
It was such a delight to be amongst people who have high regard for dogs, enough to come and see a series of short films all about them!
The Top Dog Festival is part of the Moonlight Cinema Season that has been successfully operating for over 25 years offering patrons a unique cinema opportunity to experience movies under the stars. Typically, Moonlight Cinema offers a combination of films including latest releases, cult and classic films.'
