When Cabaret De Paris takes to the stage at Sydney’s State Theatre, audiences are treated to a shimmering spectacle of feathers, sequins, and sensuality, led by none other than Australia’s own showbiz royalty, Rhonda Burchmore.

With her signature sultry voice and effortless stage presence, Rhonda commands the spotlight, weaving stories from her glittering career - from Broadway to London’s West End - and now, to this glittering homage to Parisian cabaret. Her renditions of classics like Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, La Cage Aux Folles, and I Am What I Am are performed with wit, warmth, and the knowing charm of a woman who has truly lived the showbiz life.

The ensemble cast dazzles from start to finish; an intoxicating mix of Moulin Rouge, Lido, and other French cabaret alumni - dripping in rhinestones, feathers, and high heels that defy gravity. From breathtaking adagio duos to daring burlesque and a mesmerising aerial pole act, each number delivers both spectacle and skill in equal measure.

Producer and illusionist Michael Boyd adds his own flair, bringing moments of magic and surprise, while contortionist Veronica Waite elicits audible gasps with her extraordinary flexibility. Choreographers Todd Patrick and Matt Browning ensure every sequence bursts with polish, precision, and Parisian panache.

The visual design is a feast for the senses - dazzling, decadent, and delightfully over the top. As disco lights twirl and the music turns nostalgic, there’s even a touch of 70s glamour that transports the audience to another era. And of course, no Parisian cabaret is complete without a rousing Can-Can, performed with infectious energy and precision that brings the house to its feet.

Cabaret De Paris is a lavish celebration of femininity, artistry, and old-fashioned showbiz sparkle. You’ll be enthralled, entranced, and perhaps tempted to dust off your stilettos and join in the dance.
