How to Talk Australians

How to Talk Australians

Based on the hit web-series of the same name, How to Talk Australians: The Movie sees the students of the Delhi College of Linguistics leave the classroom and head Down Under. When their plane is diverted to the country town of Dubbo due to storms, and their tour-leader is detained by customs, the hapless bunch unearth the ‘real’ Australia while never making it to Sydney, Melbourne… or even Brisbane.

From Tony Rogers, director the of internationally acclaimed series Wilfred and featuring an all-star comedy cast including Shane Jacobson (Kenny, Oddball), Rohan Ganju (The Emu War, Urvi Went to an All Girls School), Danielle Walker (Gold Diggers), Dave Lawson (Utopia) and Rick Davies (Offspring), join us for Q&A session featuring Director Tony Rogers and cast.

I hadn't seen the web series so had no idea what to expect and I'm also not one for comedies, but I thought this was incredibly funny! It's definitely the best movie I've seen this year so far. I enjoyed the Q&A aspect too. Very informative.

A nice effort producing a film evolving from a web series, nothing was lost in going to the long form. The portrayal of Ocker behaviour and lifestyle from the perspective of Indian visitors meant the joke was on us white Anglo-saxon Aussies, and what fun it was. Made for fun and laughs this independent, largely amateur cast film delivered in spades. If you weren't laughing you were sitting there smiling throughout. Barry McKenzie would be proud to call it a right shit show. Well done cobbers.

Such a light-hearted movie, laugh-out-loud funny!

Having already been a fan of the web series, I kind of knew what to expect. However, it didn't disappoint and I found it very funny and entertaining.

Prior to seeing the movie I didn’t google or do any research i haven’t seen the YouTube series .. sitting down in the cinema what a pleasant surprise I found it relatable, easy to watch and funny.. I loved it.. I was surprised to learn during the presentation that the main actors weren’t trained and were discovered locally.. 1 in a supermarket.. it definitely didn’t show at all I recommend you go and see it .. worth a watch
