COMPANY - A Musical Comedy

From musical theatre's most renowned composer, Company is largely regarded as a trailblazer of the dark-comedy, modern-musical genre and the winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics and Best Book.

On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor, Robert, contemplates his unmarried state. Over the course of a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding, his friends – "those good and crazy people [his] married friends" – explain the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions.

I was so impressed by this production. The cast were excellent and their vocals were outstanding. The production is funny, quirky and chaotic with moments of melancholy. I’d absolutely recommend seeing this!

Lauren

Very talented cast, their voices, dancing skills and acting were exceptional.

The story was a bit simple and ultimately it felt like it could have been shorter but the cast did the musical and story credit!

Mallory

A quality show with great performances, but I prefer a musical with more musical numbers personally, and the storyline wasn't really my kind of thing. But if you're a fan of Sondheim, ala Merrily We Roll Along, then you'll definitely enjoy it!

Simone

An amazingly talented group of performers, each portraying their characters with charisma and emotion. The storyline was beautiful and thought provoking: looking at different aspects of marriage, being single, divorce, through a group of characters that had excellent stage presence and connection with each other. They displayed very high standard of professionalism and talent definitely matching that of major productions I’ve seen at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Strong vocals, awesome choreography, great performances from all. Beautiful stage set, witty story. HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!

The cast, costumes, sets, musicians, ushers, candy bar etc were all excellent. However, I thought the musical was saying the only way to have a happy and fulfilling life was to be married which I found offensive. I understand the musical was written in the 70s so maybe it did not age well. Nowadays, it's more accepted by the society to be single or to cohabit with a partner with no plans of getting married.

Elena

Excellent show, highly recommend!

Jaki

Excellent show with all performers very professional. Great entertainment. The theatre is great too with very comfortable seats and the gradient means not missing out because of a tall person in front.

Dao Min

Great production value of a classic
