High Standards 2
After a successful debut in July, High Standards returns to the Brunswick Ballroom for another night of fresh takes on timeless songs.
Headlining the night is masterful soul singer Daniel Merriweather, performing torch songs with Laneous (guitar), Lewis Hosie (keys) and Paul Bender (bass).
A special set will also feature guest vocalists including Emily Lubitz, Lani Zimmer and more, accompanied by the High Standards Trio.
And introducing the High Standards Quintet — Harry James Angus (trumpet/vocals), Yael Zamir (flute), Hue Blanes (piano/vocals), Tamara Murphy (double bass) and Dom Hede (drums) — unveiling adventurous new arrangements of their favourite standards.
Expect an evening of soaring vocals, incredible musicianship and songs that never go out of style.
