Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece the play is the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told by two minor characters in Shakespeare’s play, who pass their time betting with each other by flipping coins.

Part Shakespearean tragedy part Laurel and Hardy comedy, they finally get a chance to take the lead role but do so in a world where reality and illusion intermix and where fate leads them to a tragic but inevitable end.

Acting was great as usual from Hunters Hill Theatre gp, however the show was very long with 2 intervals and the story got lost in the convaluted script at times. Remember, short and sharp is best to maintain audience interest. Two main characters were brilliant, thank you!
