Always a fun day out with celebrity chefs, plenty of food, win, gin and other alcohol tastings, kitchen appliance demos, and free goodies.

A fun event to attend. It was great to be able to try products that you may not normally have tried, and it provided me with a nice little list of products to add to my shopping list. Definitely a wine and gin lovers heaven with a huge array of vendors providing taste testing. The event had a nice vibe with a lot of happy faces browsing around. Most lines moved quite quickly and the venue was generally roomy enough to walk around those waiting in lines. An added bonus was some vendors packing up Christmas gift idea which was great and already allowed me to tick several friends and family off my Christmas list. Overall, a fun, enjoyable way to spend the Sunday afternoon.

The Brisbane Good Food & Wine Show was an exciting exhibition of local, national and international products and culinary delights. Wineries, breweries and distillers were well represented, the entire show had an energetic and dynamic atmosphere. The variety of offerings was impressive, however the food exhibitors were greatly outnumbered by the copious number of wine and spirit stalls. Of these exhibitors, a particularly good offering was from Riversands Wines. The staff on that stand were excellent at promoting not only their products but also the highlights and offerings of other services and manufacturers in their local St George district. Also notable was the Rodriguez stall, it attracted a crowd of happy visitors with their vibrant and fun presentation.

I particularly enjoyed sampling offerings from the various cheese-makers who participated – the variety and quality of products (both cheeses and accompaniments) was incredibly good.

Some exhibitors struggled with too many visitors, which made it challenging to sample products at some stalls. It might be beneficial for all if organisers consider a more spread-out layout for stalls next year.

Overall, it was a highly enjoyable day out, and I would definitely recommend it to all food and wine lovers.

So much wine and gin, but very little food. Needs to be renamed the good wine and spirit show! But still very enjoyable! Thanks for the tix.

It was an interesting outing. Lots of food and wine vendors to pick and choose from to taste and buy from. I don't drink a lot, but enjoyed what I tried. I enjoyed sampling chocolate, nuts, spreads, slushies, cheese and more cheese, sauces, jams, bolognaise, and more. The vibe was buzzing, lots of people and often needed to wait to talk to vendors, but usually the wait was worth it! A fun time with friends and family, and each of us came away inspired :)
