Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights

Written by Emily Brontë
Adapted by April DeAngelis
Directed by Eryn Kneebone Kralj

‘Do you want to live? Would you like to live with your soul in the grave?’

Heathcliff, a young orphan, is brought back to live with the Earnshaw family at Wuthering Heights, a desolate old home in the middle of the Yorkshire moors. Though subjected to cruelty, he develops a close relationship with Cathy, the daughter of the house – a bond that will follow them both to the grave, leaving chaos and destruction in its wake, as well as the fall of the two households, the Earnshaws and the Lintons. Heathcliff embarks on the ultimate revenge war path to ensure that all those who have made his life miserable feel the full extent of their actions.

Be warned! Wuthering Heights is no love story! It is a tale of deep wounds, cruelty and of course, revenge. An epic tale of gothic proportions, based on the classic novel by Emily Brontë and adapted for stage by April DeAngelis.
