Vienna Philharmonic’s youngest ever concertmaster makes his highly anticipated Australian debut with legendary pianist Simon Tedeschi
Join two of classical music’s finest artists in an evening of unbridled virtuosity, as Australia’s favourite immersive concert series, Live at Yours, presents the highly anticipated Australian debut of the Vienna Philharmonic’s youngest-ever concertmaster, Yamen Saadi, alongside legendary pianist Simon Tedeschi, this March.
Simon Tedeschi with Yamen Saadi will feature the 27-year-old Nazareth-born violinist performing miniature masterpieces by Austrian-American composer Fritz Kreisler and Edvard Grieg on Kreisler’s original 1734 Stradivari violin. The duo will take the stage at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Tuesday, 18th March 2025, followed by a performance at Sydney’s heritage-listed Great Synagogue on Wednesday, 19th March 2025.
Described by The Berliner Morgenpost as possessing a truly “beguiling sound,” Saadi has performed as a soloist with some of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 2022, at just 25 years old, Saadi made history as the youngest-ever concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, following his earlier role as concertmaster of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, which he held since his teenage years.
Saadi will be joined on stage by one of Australia’s most renowned classical pianists, Simon Tedeschi, whose illustrious career has seen him perform in major concert halls and festivals across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Tedeschi has also played for world leaders, including former US President George W. Bush and the Dalai Lama.
Don’t miss this extraordinary collaboration, where two exceptional talents unite for a night of musical brilliance that promises to be unforgettable.
