A young rising British star in the world of rhythm & blues, jazz, funk, blues, Latin and roots music is joining forces with one of Australia’s blues legends and an All-star band to bring an exhilarating. one-of-a-kind musical experience to venues across SE Australia in the summer of 2025.
The Brush With The Blues tour will see saxophone virtuoso Tom Waters - the prodigiously talented son of renowned UK pianist Ben Waters - and iconic blues guitarist Geoff Achison combine their remarkable talents in a show that promises to break new ground in the worlds of blues, country, rock and funky jazz.
Australian music fans need no introduction to Geoff Achison, one of our country’s great guitarists. But, if you want to know more about Tom Waters you could ask those who he’s recorded and/or played with. Like, the Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Jools Holland, Ray Davies, George Thorogood, Chanel Haynes, Ariel Posen, the Cinelli Bros and the BB King All Stars.
Performing original tracks from their extensive catalogues, alongside timeless roots classics, the tour name is a nod to the Jeff Beck piece that Tom performed live, with Jeff, at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Club.
Together, “Brush With The Blues” promises an unforgettable celebration of blues, country, rock, and funky jazz.
