NO LOVE SONGS

NO LOVE SONGS

After sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe, London and US Premiere,
NO LOVE SONGS, is now playing at the Foundry Theatre, located in the Sydney Lyric Theatre, Pyrmont.

Meet Jessie and Lana, a couple madly in love who are grappling with the challenges of parenthood. When Jessie gets a huge music career break in America, Lana's left holding the fort with their new baby, and the emotional tug of war begins.

Through a powerful blend of music, tears, and laughter, the audience is taken on a heartfelt journey as they navigate the ups and downs of parenthood.

NO LOVE SONGS is an authentic modern love story, inspired by the real-life experiences of Scottish musician Kyle Falconer, (lead singer of Scottish band, The View), and his wife, Laura. Starring Keegan Joyce (Rake, Please Like Me) and Lucy Maunder (Mary Poppins, Chicago).

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. The two performers made full use of the small stage to give the audience an intimate, raw telling of their story. My friend said she had a tear in her eye as she saw Lucy Maunder too had tears.

Humour was, however, sprinkled through the show so the story had a nice balance.

The audience was included in the conversation, as was the keyboard player seated discreetly on stage, but was very much the third performer.

Great music and songs made poignant with the conveyance of a true life story.

Wow what a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions!!
Both actors delivered superbly as you would expect from their reputations and the guy behind the keyboard had a few unexpected tricks up his sleeve.
The theatre is raw and simple which suited the production well. Grateful for the opportunity!

It was a tough subject to perform as a musical but it was done very tastefully. The singing was beautiful and the play was very clever the way they switched from speaking to each other and thinking outloud . Enjoyed the evening very much
