Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular
Recognised globally as one of the best beer and drinks experiences in the world, the Great Australian Beer SpecTAPular is back at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre in April 2025! It’s where good friends meet for a beer.
After its great success last year, this year’s event promises to be one of the biggest and best ever held in Melbourne. Showcasing the most innovative brews from over 150 different breweries and distilleries, live entertainment to surprise and delight and sensational food to savour, there is something for everyone.
At GABS, you can count on experiencing the best! 2025 will have what will possibly be Australia's longest bar, with 120 taps all running in one line, pouring some of the most creative brews our industry's finest have to offer. 100 taps will be dedicated to fun and creative beers, while 20 will be dedicated to enticing spirits, seltzers and hard alcoholic RTDs. Not to mention, over 500 beer taps will be pouring innovative beers, each one carefully crafted by the maker, and we will be welcoming two incredible international guests!
We're stoked that Bamburg's famous smoked beer brewery, Schlenkerla, will be crossing the oceans to exhibit at GABS in 2025. They'll be joined by the world's oldest brewery, Weihenstephan, who had so much fun in 2024, they will be back pouring their award-winning beers!

Lots of beers to taste and food was good as well. Paddles were good value especially once a few big beers got into the mix.

Great selection of beers and some food to go with beers. Priced slightly above the average Melbourne bars, it was worth exploring various brands and tastes.
Great event and beer selection, but food was massively overpriced and it would be so much better in an open air venue!

I thought I was making a mistake by booking Friday, but it worked out perfectly. I could not imagine how busy it would have been if I did the Saturday.

Fun night of beer drinking with friends in a very festive setup with free and paid entertainment. From watching a hotdog eating contest to silent disco to darts. Hundreds of beer options!!

It was pretty good. Lots of Beers to try though I think the showground was a better venue. Still had a great day!
