The Last Train to Madeline

The Last Train to Madeline

"One day I’ll look out my window and you’ll be standing in my driveway. You’ll be standing in my driveway and you’ll be home.”

A stunning new Australian play from award-winning playwright Callum Mackay, the last train to madeline propels its audience back to the nostalgias of first love, the complexities of friendship and the sadness of letting go. Backed by a ‘So Fresh’ soundtrack that defined a generation and spanning the most formative years of all our lives, acclaimed independent company Fever103 Theatre brings its signature brand of visually poetic storytelling to this story of a magical world of adolescence and suburban dreams.

A great play

Good story of childhood, romance and dreams told in a small but intimate setting. While I couldn't fully relate to their childhood - I could sympathise with the troubles and conflicts that pulled them together and apart. Both performances did admirably.

A great play with an Australian (Victorian) flavour. Great acting and switching between poignant times in the character's lives. An emotional reflection on the important people in our lives and how we can't let them go, even if we should (or should we?).
