After sold out shows earlier this year and due to popular demand, Husky has announced a one off special show at the Brunswick Ballroom this November. The first Australian band to be signed to iconic US label Sub Pop Records (Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty), Husky went on to release four albums to international acclaim and toured the world many times over. Now they’re back with a new album, due for release in March 2024.
Husky Gawenda and keys player/collaborator/cousin/kindred spirit Gideon Preiss took on all the recording duties this time around - Gawenda wrote the songs, they produced together, Preiss engineered and mixed. With a handful of new songs already released, the result is clearly something more raw and intimate, more stripped back and immediate, more in the footsteps of folk heroes like Neil Young, and contemporary legends like Andy Shauf, both of whom Husky has shared stages with.
Husky will be joined by their stellar band Holly Thomas (drums, vocals), Hollie Joyce (Bass, vocals) and Jules Pascoe (guitar). They will preview new songs and play a selection of their favourites from each of their previous albums.
