Considered “one of the unheralded greats of the Melbourne Music scene”, Eugene Hamilton and his star studded band “The Money” earnt their fame playing re-invented covers. Specialising in stealing, dismantling and re-birthing songs for the lucrative ‘used song market’, Eugene Hamilton and The Money draw their repertoire from every genre from the smooth beats of the 60’s to the pop-tastic tunes of the noughties. Turning Kylie into Klezmer, Bob Marley into Texas honky-tonk, Beyonce into cocktail swing and Steely Dan into 60’s boogaloo, smashing down musical boundaries and threading them back together into a lush shag pile rug.
It’s high energy with a feel good vibe and lot’s of good natured fun!

High energy, well performed show that had people up dancing and loving it. Not quite my thing.
High energy performance with great musicians. Eugene as front man keeps the crowd mostly amused but at times the focus on him as eccentric is overplayed. He sings well and I'd have appreciated more of his focus on delivering great songs. However, a great nights entertainment.
Very entertaining cover band (with a difference). Terrific venue in an old ballroom, with seating to eat and drink and also space to dance
