Ada and Elsie – Whacko- the Diddle- Oh!

Step back in time at the delightfully retro Capri Theatre, Goodwood for a night of golden radio comedy with those two old-fashioned girls, Ada and Elsie.

When the wireless was the centre of the entertainment universe, Ada and Elsie ruled the Australian airwaves for over sixteen years.

According to a 1953 ‘Radio Roundup’ Ada and Elsie were “ribald in a ladylike way and most genteely vulgar. And very, very funny!”

'Ada & Elsie: Wacko-the-Diddle-oh!' recreates the spirit of 1940s live radio entertainment. The glamour, the songs, the live sound effects, the inuendo, not to mention the off-air drama and their banning by the Postmaster General!

Before Kath & Kim, before Eddy & Patsy, there was Ada & Elsie!
