Melbourne International Comedy Festival - Suren Jayemanne in Wu-Tang Clan Name Generator

Jayemanne had a great year in 2015, performing his debut solo show at the Melbourne International and Sydney Comedy Festivals. The show, Eat Praline, Die, was selected for SCFs FRESH program for the best emerging artists and was extremely well received by audiences and critics alike.

Wu-Tang Clan Name Generator is the natural progression from Eat Praline, Die, presenting more of Jayemanne’s signature witty wordplay and topical observations on multiculturalism in Australia. He is at once good natured and provocative, his irreverent nature representing a diverse and emerging voice in Australia.

In 2014, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival picked Jayemanne for the prestigious Comedy Zone, a showcase of the best five up and coming acts from across Australia.
