Third Door Theatre is a Melbourne based production company proudly bringing to life Michael Gow's classic Australian drama, Away.

Away follows the story of three Australian families who embark on their own personal journeys of rediscovery, reconciliation and restoration. Written against the backdrop of the Vietnam War in the summer of 1967, Away is interwoven with references to Shakespeare's masterpieces and an excellent study in contemporary playwriting. A seminal piece of Australian drama and a true tragicomedy, Away remains an important part of our theatrical heritage.
